1 Day Tsavo East

A Taste of Africa:
This dawn to dusk package provides an opportunity to go on an amazing safari in one of the world’s greatest wildlife sanctuaries and back to your hotel in one day! 

Established in 1948, Tsavo East is Kenya’s largest national park, hunting grounds to the big cats of Africa and home to great herds of “Red” Elephants, deriving their unique color from the laterite soil in the region. Tsavo is not only known for its rich variety of wildlife species and magical scenery but also for its diverse birdlife, over 500 species of birds are found here, including the magnificent golden breasted starling, golden pipit and vulturine guinea fowl.

One of the safari highlights is the Aruba dam. Located on the north bank of the seasonal Voi River, it is a watering hole to thousands of animals making it a unique game viewing destination.

Pick up: 5:00am
Drive for an hour to Mombasa, going across the Likoni Ferry and join the Mombasa – Nairobi highway for a scenic 2.5 – hour drive along smooth tarmac.
Arrive at the Bachuma gate entrance at around 9:00am, there shall be a short stop outside the park entrance gate for breakfast or refreshments. (Not included in safari price)
We will then pop up the roof and commence our game drive in search of Elephants, Lions, Cheetahs, Leopards, Buffalo, Giraffes, Antelopes and many more species.

At 13:00pm we will break for Lunch at the Lion hill lodge or similar.
After lunch we shall have another game drive as we exit the National park.
We will exit Tsavo east National park at around 15:00pm and start the return journey to Diani beach arriving late in the evening.
