Starting from Diani Beach, this 3 days, 2 nights Safari is designed to take you into the heart of Kenya’s largest national park with enough time to soak in its majestic sunrises, surreal landscapes, numerous bird species and an amazing array of wildlife that include the famous maneless lions and Red elephants of Tsavo. This conservation area is nicknamed the “Theatre of the Wild” for a reason, let’s find out why!
Day 1: Diani to Tsavo National park
We will depart from Diani at 8:00am and drive to Tsavo east National park using the Mombasa Nairobi Trans- African highway and into the National park and enjoy an enroute game on the way to the lodge, arriving in time for lunch. At 3.30 pm we will head out for the evening game and get a chance to see different wild animals especially Giraffe, Zebra, Buffalo and lots of “Red Elephants” that Tsavo is famous for. With a bit of luck, we will also spot some of the big cats before heading back for dinner and overnight stay at 6:00pm.
Day 2: Tsavo East Game
After a hearty breakfast, we will go on a full day’s game drive around the park visiting different parts of the park including the swampy loop side that attracts the most game. The game drive will also take us to the pipeline area where Elephants love to congregate for water and mud bathing, we will later visit the Luggard falls and Yatta Plateau before heading back to the lodge.
Day 3: Tsavo East – Diani
We start this day with an early morning game drive to witness the magical sunrise that Kenya is famous for, this time also offers a great opportunity to see the big cats either hunting or feasting on the previous night’s kill. After a sumptuous breakfast back at the lodge, we will depart for the scenic drive back to Diani via the Voi – Mombasa highway.
